Summer Trip to Seattle with my Boys
AUGUST 23, 2021 – I took the opportunity to travel with my two sons to Seattle this summer. While we were there, we visited the Museum of Pop Culture. It was really the only “music-parallel” thing we did on this particular trip.
The museum included various music examples from artists that hailed from Seattle, like Jimi Hendrix (see photo – statue is on the sidewalk out in front of an art supply store), Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Queensryche, Foo Fighters and many others.
I was looking forward myself to seeing what I could about Jimi Hendrix, but I had no idea how many other music artists were from Seattle – and their stories were well brought out in detail at this museum.
The boys enjoyed themselves, but were probably not as impressed as I was about our time spent in this particular museum.
I think they found the Science Fiction section, Museum of Flight and the Aquarium more interesting actually.
And that’s okay. What’s most important is that we had an opportunity to spend time together, seeing and learning new things.
